Well, the rest of the story is this....I wanted to make myself a sandwich for lunch. I was getting ready to slice some Vienna Sausages in half, slather some mayonnaise on two pieces of bread, add a slice of cheese, and then retire to my office for lunch. All was going as expected and then my right knee fell apart...literally. I have a floating knee cap on my right knee and it just gave out. I grabbed the counter holding my food, the saucer shot across the counter and down on the floor. My knee buckled and I fell. It hurt really bad for quite awhile this evening. It only throbs a bit now. My sweet heart made me a sandwich and brought it to me, and Freckles, our new family member, came in and nosed my knee, and let me know she knew it hurt. So in a way, it all came full circle.

Dogs and bad knees....Oh Puhleeeeeeeezzzzeeee......
I had a really bad experience this evening....but.....let's start at the beginning. This morning my wife and I took a Subway sandwich to our son Nick at his job. Nick is the chief cook and bottle washer at Arbuckle Mountain Fried Pies in Davis, Oklahoma. While we were there, we just happened to notice a rather thin dog that looked to be part Brittany Spaniel and part Blue Heeler. Well, the pup just looked up at my wife and then at me, and it was on. I posted a picture of her on Farcebook and am waiting for the owner to contact me. I do not think her former owner will, she is really thin and has not been taken care of. She also has been sprayed by a skunk. My wife has already named her Freckles. She is lovely.
